John Spencer

John Spencer leads Jarden’s Equities business and sits on the Executive Committee. The Australian equities business was established in 2020 and the platform is now a market-leading advisory and execution institutional stockbroker. John joined Jarden as a foundation leader after more than 20 years in markets across equity research, sales, equity capital markets and corporate finance.

Prior to Jarden, he was a Managing Director at UBS heading ANZ ECM syndicate where his team syndicated more than 150 transactions representing AUD 55bn over 2015 to 2020. John also headed UBS’s equity sales desk in Sydney, was a top-rated salesperson and established UBS’s market-leading institutional block trading desk in 2012.

John holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Australian National University (Accounting & Finance) and a Master of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Sydney.
