Logan MacLeod

Managing Director, Head of New Zealand Commodities

Logan is a Managing Director and Head of New Zealand Commodities at Jarden. He joined in 2016 and is responsible for leading client engagement and trading activity across New Zealand carbon, dairy, and the broader commodities complex.

Logan advises a diverse institutional client base across the Asia-Pacific region, including corporates, gentailers, trading houses, multinational organisations, and investment funds with exposure to the New Zealand emissions and dairy markets. He also works closely with physical market participants, including farmers, foresters, processors, and carbon compliance buyers with obligations under the Climate Change Response Act 2002.

His role focuses on delivering tailored risk management advice and structured derivative solutions aligned with clients' commercial objectives. Asa trusted adviser in the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme (NZ ETS), Logan provides strategic guidance on compliance obligations, hedging strategies, and market access solutions. His experience spans spot and forward transactions, option structures, and negotiating bespoke multi-year off-take agreements.

In the dairy sector, Logan supports clients across the supply chain - from farmers and processors to exporters and trading houses - in managing price risk through both exchange-traded and over-the-counter derivative markets. His ability to maintain long-term client relationships and source liquidity across complex commodity markets is a key differentiator of Jarden's commodities franchise.

Logan holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from Massey University with a double major in Finance and Valuation and Property Management. He is a Registered Financial Adviser and an NZX DMA Dealer.
