Martin joined the Jarden Group Board on 1 November 2025. He is an experienced Executive, Director and Chartered Member of the NZ Institute of Directors with over 25 years of governance and commercial experience in insurance, banking, asset management and legal industries.
Martin has held several senior executive roles at IAG NZ including that of Chief Risk Officer, Executive GM, Transformation, and General Counsel and Company Secretary. Prior to that he held several legal roles at ASB Group and Shroders plc in London.
Martin serves as an Independent Director of Hollard, which he joined on 10 April 2026, where he is a member of the Board Risk Committee, Board People Committee and the Board Projects & Technology Committee. His former directorships include First Rescue NZ, IAG NZ Repair Hub and Home Hub. He is also a trustee of the Sir Edmund Hilary Outdoors Education Trust and Tupiki Trust which provides funding formountaineering and conservation projects.
Martin holds a Bachelor of Laws and is a Barrister and Solicitor to the High Court of New Zealand.
