Jarden expands technology sector coverage with senior hires Manny Syrrou and Tim Sammon

Jarden is pleased to announce that Emmanuel (Manny) Syrrou will join as Managing Director, Head of Technology (Software and Services), and Tim Sammon will join as Director, Technology (Software and Services), within Jarden’s Corporate Finance team based in Sydney. Syrrou brings more than 18 years of investment banking experience, while Sammon brings more than 10 years.

The appointments come as technology remains one of the most active sectors for M&A in Australia, with global strategic buyers competing for high-quality local technology assets.

Aidan Allen, Executive Chair, said: “We are delighted to welcome Manny and Tim to Jarden. Technology is a priority sector for the firm, and their deep expertise – built over many years of M&A and capital markets advisory to sponsors, founders and boards – will strengthen our offering across the technology and tech-enabled services sectors.”

Syrrou joins Jarden from Allier Capital, where he was Managing Director and Head of Technology Investment Banking, advising private equity sponsors, founder-led businesses and ASX-listed corporates on sell-side and buy-side M&A, cross-border transactions and capital raisings. His recent transactions include advising on HotDoc’s sale to Potentia Capital, ABGF’s investment into NEXA, Anchorage Capital Partners’ creation of an IT managed services platform through the merger of ENTAG and Rubicon 8, Advent Partners’ sale of Medtech Global, and Braemac’s sale to eXponential Technology Group (Berkshire Hathaway).

Sammon joins Jarden from Barrenjoey, where he was a Principal and senior member of the Technology Investment Banking team, advising founders, management teams and financial sponsors on M&A, growth capital and strategic investments across software, fintech and payments, marketplaces, and deep technology. His recent transactions include advising Tanda on its transaction with Thoma Bravo, Advanced Navigation on its Series C capital raise, Ordermentum on its transaction with Five V Capital, AutoGrab on its Series B capital raise, and Liven on its transaction with Asia Partners.
