Jarden has appointed two experienced professionals to its Equities team in New Zealand: Nick McLister and Jared Butters. The appointments follow Jarden's announcement on 4 September of five hires across Equities and Research in New Zealand.
John Spencer, Head of Equities, said: "Between them, Nick and Jared bring about 50 years of experience as well as strong client relationships in the ANZ market. We're looking forward to the impact they'll have working alongside the broader team both in NZ and across to Australia. Their appointments complete our NZ institutional sales/trading team and put us in a strong position to build on our consistently solid 20% NZ market share."
Nick and Jared are due to start in mid-January 2027.
Bios
Nick McLister joins as a Director and Sales Trader. He brings about 30 years' experience in the ANZ markets, most recently from Forsyth Barr, where he spent 10 years, having previously worked in Australia at Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs. Nick is accredited as an NZX Adviser and has NYSE Series 7 accreditation.
Jared Butters joins as a Director and Sales Trader. He has some 20 years' experience, most recently at Forsyth Barr, where he has been sales trading for more than 15 years. He previously held roles in retail dealing and institutional fixed interest dealing. Jared is registered as a financial adviser and is accredited as an NZX Adviser. He also holds the NZX Diploma.
